 Our Farm

We are a small farm on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland that focuses on raising alpacas with a gentle hand and an eye on continuous improvement. Alpaca Road's breeding program focuses on distinctive fiber and excellent conformation. We offer a full spectrum of services including consulting, boarding, breeding, and sales – all designed to help you on your road to alpaca ownership. We invite you to journey to the farm and visit all our wonderful alpacas, the store, and the workshop.

 Our Store

Using fiber from our alpacas we handcraft items that are easy to wear and easy on the environment.  Not only do we use our own fiber but we process much of it right on the farm – talk about a low carbon footprint! We are proud to say that many of our fiber arts have brought home blue ribbons, such as award winning handspun yarn, woven scarves, and felted hats.

 Our Workshops

In addition to the store, Alpaca Road now offers workshops covering various techniques. Our workshops allow us to share our knowledge with others who want to do more with their fiber than store it in the attic. We also provide one-on-one lessons in weaving and spinning.

Thank you to everyone who joined our workshops. We enjoy sharing our knowledge with each of you and hope you will return in the Spring for our new and exciting workshops.

Hay-Bale-Able

Hotazel

Tired of hay being spread all over the barn? Our unique feeder is light-weight, simple to use, and easy to clean. Animals can't remove the grate from the feeder. It will not rot or rust, and the grate causes no splinters, cuts, or broken teeth as wood or metal grate systems can.

Proudly made in America of FDA-approved materials. more info
